JILL McANGUS, M.D.
Board-Certified Orthopedic SurgeonJill McAngus, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon originally from Boyd, Texas. She graduated summa cum laude from Tarleton State University with a degree in Biomedical Sciences before earning her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Dr. McAngus went on to complete a highly competitive residency program at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, TX, excelling in a traditionally male-dominated field. Dr. McAngus now offers Robotic Total Knee Arthroplasty with the MAKO System by Stryker, a state-of-the-art technology designed to provide precise and personalized joint replacement surgery. Her training has prepared her to treat a variety of orthopedic problems and help patients with acute or chronic injuries of the extremities and degenerative joint conditions to return to an active lifestyle.
Dr. McAngus is married to her college sweetheart, Ross McAngus and has three children. She is very active in her community with church, PTO, youth sports, nonprofit organizations, 4H, and volunteering. The McAngus family made their home in Stephenville due to the small community and love of the citizens of Somerville and Erath counties and their love and appreciation of agriculture.
Dr. McAngus has previously served as a team physician covering University of Mary Hardin Baylor, Tarleton State University, and Glen Rose High School. She has also served as a volunteer physician for Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. She enjoys caring for athletes of all ages.
Her other passion is medical mission work. She has made mission trips to Haiti and is now exploring other options to help in other countries as well.
